Application Process By Program

Bachelor of Arts (Degree Completion)

To be eligible for admission, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Associate’s degree
  • No minimum GPA

To apply to the Bachelor of Arts (degree completion) program, students must provide:

  • A completed online application
  • Official transcript from your associate’s degree-awarding institution. (Unofficial transcript will suffice for provisional admission, but official transcripts must be on file by end of first session.)

RN-Bachelor of Science in Nursing

To be eligible for admission, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license to practice nursing in the state of residence
  • An associate’s degree or diploma in nursing from an accredited nursing program
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.5 (conditional admit with GPA of 2.25-2.49)

These requirements must be met before students can participate in practice experiences.

  • Medical information requirements for nursing students (including immunizations)
  • Current CPR certification (adult, child, infant, AED)
  • Completion of criminal background check

To apply to the RN-B.S.N. program, students must provide:

  • A completed online application
  • A copy of your active RN license from your Board of Nursing website
  • Official transcript from your associate’s degree-awarding institution. (Unofficial transcript will suffice for provisional admission, but officials must be on file by end of first session.)

Master of Arts in Education

To be eligible for admission, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.7.

To apply to the Master of Arts in education program, students must provide:

  • A completed application

After you have completed the online application, we will contact you to explain how to complete the submission process.  You will be asked to provide:

  • An official transcript from your bachelor’s degree-awarding institution
  • A current resume
  • A personal statement of 300 to 500 words answering the following questions: Why do I want to pursue a Master of Arts degree in education from Dakota Wesleyan University? How do I plan to use what I learn to improve education for our next generation of students?

Master in Business Administration

To be eligible for admission, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • If your bachelor’s degree is not in a business-related field, you will have an opportunity to complete the required leveling courses through Peregrine Academic Services in order to meet the requirements for admission into the M.B.A. program. The program is self-paced and can be explained in further detail by an admissions counselor.
  • 2.75 GPA

To apply to the M.B.A. program, students must provide:

  • A completed applicationAfter you have completed the online application, we will contact you to explain how to complete the submission process.  You will be asked to provide:
  • An official transcript from your bachelor’s degree-awarding institution
  • Current resume
  • A personal statement of 300 to 500 words answering the following questions: Why do I want to pursue an M.B.A. from Dakota Wesleyan University? How can I expect to integrate good business ethics into my career?

Financial Considerations

Your financial aid is reflective of many factors. It is important that you learn what commitments are being made with enrollment at DWU. Call, email, or schedule an appointment with a financial aid adviser to discuss your individual situation and apply for financial assistance.

  • Keep in mind that tuition will be based on when you enroll in the program.
  • You may be eligible for grants and scholarships in addition to federal loans and/or aid.
  • Complete your FAFSA form online to be considered for financial aid. Dakota Wesleyan University’s code for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is 003461.
